Today I'd like to talk about a feature owned by Google that you're already somewhat familiar with if you are reading this blog. This, of course, is Blogger, Google's blogging tool. Blogger is a free service where anyone with a Google Account can set up a blog and start posting.
The interface of Blogger is relatively simple and laid back. It's very easy to post a new blog in a matter of minutes. You can also easily add posts or edit your old posts on your existing blog. The editing can be done in a basic Microsoft Wrod style way, or you can edit strictly through HTML. I appreciate the ability to switch between formats and take advantage of my HTML knowledge.
The templates employed by Blogger are all relatively simple, but you can creat your own to be as advanced as you wish. The same goes for Widgets or Add Ons. There are a number of helpful Widgets you can put on your Blog; Google also offers the choice of using your own script.
I enjoy using Blogger, but I think it is one thing that Google could definitely improve. It feels almost too basic to me, and seems like it's missing many features that would be helpful. My suggestion to Google is to creat a team and research other Blog sites to see what they can add to make the Blogger experience more enjoyable.
